Waffles – Savoury

Waffles are great for breakfast but I generally don’t need to get hit with the sugar stick first thing in the morning. So I’m a big fan of savoury waffles. The first time I tried them was at West Coast Waffle in Victoria, BC.

I used a Cheese and Herb recipe which you can find here and then we loaded it up with all the fixings including a poached egg. It’s definitely an appreciated switch from the sugary, whipped topping waffles (which I still love, but reserve for desserts) and it makes our weekend breakfasts (which we take very seriously) fun and fresh!
